SDR Arborists LTD are able to carry out all aspects of arboristry. From the routine maintenance pruning of a tree, right through to the technical and specialist procedures used in a full tree dismantle and removal.

All works undertaken are carried out in accordance with BS3998 Tree Work Recommendations and SDR Arborists LTD hold full public liability insurance.

Below details some of the core services we are able to undertake.

Crown Reduction

This is the process of reducing the trees overall crown size while maintaining the shape.

Pollard

Complete removal of all the trees branches. Which will leave just the bare frame of the tree. This is only suitable for a select few tree species, most commonly willow trees. This is a very good way to maintain the size of a tree that can grow very quickly and will ensure that a natural balanced shape is maintained.

Stump Grinding

As part of the process of a complete tree removal, the stump remains above ground level. A stump grinding machine allows the stump to be ground down to below ground level. Allowing for pathways or lawns to be laid in its place.

Crown Lift

By removing the lower branches we can give the tree clearance off the ground, buildings or roof line. An ideal solution to allow vehicle or pedestrian safe access or to protect roof structures

Dead Wooding

Removal of dead branches from a tree. Done to improve safety, especially on an affected tree in high pedestrian traffic areas.

Crown Thinning

This term is used to describe the reduction of the density of the trees crown which will allow more light and air to pass through the crown. This helps to reduce the risks of wind damage to a tree.

Felling

Complete dismantle and removal of a tree, without the removal of the stump

Hedge Maintenance

Routine hedge maintenance is carried out to ensure a hedges size, condition and aesthetics is maintained.

Seasoned Firewood

SDR Arborists LTD have invested in the equipment to re process all core wood into legislation compliant firewood. Available in soft and hardwood mix or hardwood only. Please contact us for further details.
